Resin cheese board with rose quartz

I made this camphour laurel serving board with inlaid ixora flowers and a piece of rose quartz from India.

The camphour laurel is from Western Queensland and has a stunning grain. I've cut the piece in two and then re-joined the pieces with a resin inlay. The ixora florets had been drying and I really wanted to try red and pink together. I picked up the rose quartz piece in Jaipur, India in late 2018 and have set it in the resin so that it stands proud of the resin surface. I like the fact that it is touchable and it adds incredible texture.

I've added a simple gold handle to the serving board, as i thought something plain would allow the flowers and crystal to take centre place.
